I have been making jewels!

Well, today in my spare time I put the finishing touches on some jewelry that I have been working on. I just love making jewelry! I will be selling these things but I don't have anything set up yet so if you are interested just shoot me an email!

I love this saying! This necklace is hammered and stamped out of copper.

This is a vintage crystal that I soldered around and wrapped in copper wire. It is all antiqued and then I added a bling ball. It is really sparkly in person! My fav!

This cuff is hand etched brass that I added an antique rhinestone to and wrapped with copper wire with shiny beads...so pretty!

This was my first cuff I made! I love it! I can see me making many more of these. I got some really cool antique things to put in the little boxes!

I just love these wine bottles but I have a horrible time getting them to look good in my pictures! I have painted 7 of these awesome wine bottles that are up for sale now! They are all done with green or brown bottles. Some of them have white lights and some have colored lights. They are all equally awesome but if you are purchasing one of these and have a preference let me know in your email because I didn't take pictures of all of the bottles. The cord comes out the back of the bottle from a hole that I drilled myself. They are so pretty lit up in a dark or dim room! They are $20.00 each plus shipping and I will sell them in the order of the emails that I receive. They are only snowmen, there is nothing on them that is Christmas so you can leave them out all winter long! I even made me a couple of these and I usually don't get to keep anything! Yay!

I have kind of gotten myself into the sugar cookie making business. I do love to make them and they are sooooo yummy! I started out making them for school parties and holidays, then expanded to sport functions and this year I did Halloween and Christmas orders! Well, valentine's day is coming up fast so I am starting to get orders for that! I have also been working on samples for birthdays too! So, if you want some yummy sugar cookies get on the list early!!!

I am also doing some painting! I have some things I should get finished by the weekend that I am excited about! I made some for gifts but haven't sold any yet! I have 7 of them and I am going to list them on here soon. You will love them so check back! Oh the suspense!!! hee hee

Jewelry classes!

My sister Angie and I have decided to start holding some classes for jewelry making! We both love to make things and want to share! We are going to start off with this beginner bracelet project. So cute and great to learn for gifts, parties or girl scout projects! If you are interested in taking the class, our first one will be Friday February 10th from 6:30 to 8:30. Just email me for more information. Space is limited so don't wait to sign up!

I am also going to be selling more of my copper jewelry on here as well as my handpainted items. I love making things but can't wear everything so some has to go up for sale!hee hee I will be listing some beautiful and unique pieces!

I sure hope you all had an awesome Christmas.....I know I did! I was very blessed this year to be able to spend time with my family. I do wish my Dad could have been with us for the holidays, that was hard, but hopefully he will be home soon!

I was slightly spoiled this year and did get a new sewing machine! Yay! I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I already have a few things in mind that I want to sew! I also will be taking a class soon to learn how to use my new soldering gun. I am looking forward to doing some new things with jewelry this year. Don't worry.....along with my painting!

I have a few things left that I am going to list for sale on here as soon as i can get some pictures. I also joined a jewelry facebook page and I am going to focus a little more on selling my jewelry and also will be offering some jewelry making classes this year. I am super excited about that!

This year at Mom's on Christmas eve we shot skeet! It was so fun. We used to do it all the time but haven't for many years. The weather was perfect, we all had a great time and even after not shooting for about 7 years I still hit the first one out!!! I guess if we couldn't have snow, this was the next best thing!

Well, I'm just trying to catch everything up now that the holidays are over. I will be sending out an email update soon to let you know what is going on here and what I have to offer. Believe it or not I am still in the painting mood and have some projects ready to go! Set of two ornaments! The mitten is 3 1/2 inches tall and the stocking is 4 1/4 inches tall not including the wire hanger. They are $6.00 for the set and the buyer pays actual shipping. I will also combine shipping for multiple items.

This is a neat old little box that I painted with a winter scene. It measures 4 3/4w x 2 1/2t x 3d. It would be a perfect little box to add some room scent or a gift card or an ornament to for a nice gift! It is $10.95 and the buyer pays actual shipping.

Well, my show is over and I have tons of stuff left! It is just because I worked really really hard to have lots to pick from! I did pretty good at the show. So, now I will be selling the left over goodies online for the next week or so then I will take it to a booth that I have locally! I have no room in my house for any leftovers because its almost time to put up the Christmas decorations! Yeaaaa! I can't wait!

Sunday I got busy painting all day! It was the most fun I had in a while! I was excited to paint some of my treasures that I found in the barn!

This is an old thermos that I dug up that didn't have a lid! We didn't need that lid anyway!

I made a couple sets of these old metal measuring spoon ornaments! I should have gotten more cause they are so darn cute but I wanted some for me to use!!!

This is a little bucket I am going to make into a prim Christmas tree.

I didn't find this bucket at the barn, it was a local shop that has a booth I can't stay out of. I love the teal color that is original to the bucket. I haven't decide yet if it will be a tree or maybe just an arrangement but it is one of my favorite designs to paint!

This also came from a local shop. It is a small enamelware cup that I probably shouldn't have painted! A very old one! I put some yummy sweet annie in it. It is perfect for a little gift for a friend or teacher!

Well, as much as I would love to stay and chat I have painting to do. There are some more awesome things coming up so keep watching! I will be listing everything I have after the craft show!

The Barn!

This weekend we went to the most awesome junk place! It was a huge barn stuffed to the ceiling with junk! We dug around in there for 5 hours or maybe more! I don't think there is any way to see everything or dig everything out. The owner Bill was so nice and helpful! I can't wait to go back again!

Here we are all loaded up and tied down like a bunch of hillbillys! It was well worth the trip for me! Anytime I find lots of neat goodies it makes me want to paint paint paint!

This is the little tree! It is about 11" tall and oh so cute with german glass glitter to add some sparkle!

I have to paint this design at least once every year! I just love it and can't help going back to it! This is an old shoe shine box. I love how it is worn and used and so unique!

I have also been working on some more ornaments and of course I will have my room sprays and now I also have matching refresher oils and rosehips to go with them. I even have gift sets all made up in a snowman hat for that hard to buy for person!

Craft show!

Well, at the beginning of September I did a craft show in Jefferson City at the fair grounds. It was the first time for a really long time! There were no inside spaces available so my sister and I braved an outside tent! Although we got rained on a little we both were very happy with the show and even signed up to do it again next year! Well, I finally finished this project for a dear friend of mine......it took me way too long but I have been having painter's block! It turned out really cute and she loved it and it got me back to my brushes!

This scale is the next thing that I am working on! I did one some time ago with a fall design from Terrye French and it turned out so cute...I am doing it again! I have another scale that I purchased on vacation and I am doing that one with a winter or Christmas scene! I can't wait to start that but I want to do some fall things first. I have some really awesome stuff so I better get to it!!!

Since I came back from vacation I decided to get into a booth again......I know, I've done that before, but I can't resist. This booth I am sharing with my sister and it is in a really really awesome antique shop called Bear Ridge in Crocker. There are always people there and I am hoping I will be very busy!

I also signed up for a craft show! I did my first one last year at our school and it actually went really well. Plus it was fun and I love talking to everyone who comes out! I will be doing that show again this year on November 12th but I signed up to do one in Jefferson City at the fairgrounds on September 10th! And wow that is coming really really fast!

I got out the sewing maching and got lots of goodies all sewn up so I can stuff and finish in my quiet times and I have been scrubbing up some of my treasures to get to painting! I have lots to do! I guess it is a good thing I work well under pressure!

I have a friend, Susie, of Yankee Lane Primitives, who I got these awesome halloween labels from. I thought some creepy halloween bottles would be a great thing! I also sewed up some primitive pumpkins that smell sooooo yummy, like pumpkin crunch cake! I got more bottles to stock up on my room sprays again so if you are needing those just let me know. I will also be adding the rosehips and refresher oils in the scents of room spray I make real soon. My plan is to make up some really neat gift items for the holidays. Be sure to stay tuned here for a sneak preview of what is to come!!!

Vacation!

I was lucky enough this summer to get to go on a vacation to Colorado! My sister Angie went with me and we met up with two of my friends that I have known online for many years but we had never met in person.

We went up into the mountains....the view was absolutely beautiful!

Everything there was just so beautiful.

We even visited a haunted cemetery.....twice! Once at midnight and once in the daylight to see where we were!

It was a great trip and I was so glad to be able to meet up with my friends. I am really hoping we can do it again soon and even add some more friends!

And of course Angie and I hit as many antique shops as we could from Missouri to Colorado! We found some really great ones too like this one in Kansas. I got some real bargains here!

We also came across some interesting things! We had alot of fun with this toaster tree!hee hee After we found this we couldn't help but notice every toaster we saw everywhere! I will say there are alot more toasters for sale in Kansas than I have ever seen in Missouri!

I found some great things to paint on! It was awesome to search some new places for things. So be watching for some of these things to end up on here for the holidays!

And my jewels! I can't resist vintage jewelry....it just makes my imagination go wild. I think of who wore it and where they wore it to and who gave it to them. Then I wonder how I ended up with it....feeling lucky of course!

Well, I have been very busy already and school isn't even out yet! Running alot to ball games with Adam and visiting Erica at her new apartment has kept me busy!

I was pleased with the show that I did for the Miller County Conservation Fair. It was alot of fun! I did sell some of my painted things but mostly everyone wanted room sprays! They are irresistable when you smell them!

I survived the holidays!

Well, as always I am playing catch up here after the holidays! I made it through with most of my sanity in tact. And even managed to only gain a couple pounds which came off easy right after. Christmas is my favorite time of year but I do stress over being busy and getting everything done....it all went smooth this year. I even got some painting done and was very happy to hear from many of you when I put some things up for sale. Thank you so much for following me even when I am a slacker!

The new year has started off great...I am exploring with some more hobbies...as if I don't have enough. You all know I love making jewelry, well, I have been doing alot of that lately. I have so much jewelry that I can't possibly wear it all! Expecially since I am a wahm, I don't even go anywhere some weeks! So I decided to open up an etsy shop to sell some of my jewelry. I have been working to get it all set up and have ONE thing in there so far!Yay Me!hee hee I had to play with my camera alot because photographing jewelry is very challenging for me and I haven't really learned how to use my camera yet even though it is over a year old....one of these days!

Don't give up on me painting yet. I did redo my whole work area in my little living room and added new cabinets and countertops and it is heavenly...I should have done it long ago. I now have a place for my scrapbooking, jewelry making and painting. I have some things rolling around in my mind that I want to get started painting on soon. I just need to get all my online things updated first and get back into the swing of making and selling again! And before baseball season starts!!!

Well, I am going to get busy, so please check back in with me for more updates and new creations for sale. I promise I have not given up on my painting! We celebrated the 4th of July with my Dad who was home from working in Iraq for some much needed R&R! We had a great weekend, cooking all his favorites, floating down the river and drinking lots of peach margaritas! Lots of family and friends came down for the weekend. Then we did it all again the next weekend! Unfortunetely as I am writing this he is on his way back. We are praying for safe travel and the next 4 months to go by really fast!

I will leave you with some pictures I took on the river. There are so many beautiful things all around us that sometimes we don't even notice. For me, it is time to appreciate the little things.

Orientation

This was the view outside of my dorm room.....yes MY dorm room!hee hee Erica and I went to new student orientation in June at her college. It was really fun! She had another student for a roomate and I had my own room. We had very informative meetings and great food. It really put my mind at ease as far as letting her go.

We rode the metrolink to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner, Erica fed the fish and went in the hurricane tunnel with her roomate, then we went to a Cardinals game. It was alot of fun!

I am starting to ease up a little about this whole college thing. I have such mixed emotions about it, she is my baby you know...the first one to go off to college. She drives me crazy when she is here and I can't stand it when she is not! We are starting to have a little fun buying some stuff for her dorm room though!

Memorial Weekend

We spent Memorial weekend at the river. It was a great time except for the fact that my Dad wasn't there. He did get to call though and everyone got to talk to him. Adam caught a great fish, then the unthinkable......

The boys were harrassing me to go fishing with them. So I packed up some magazines, my camera, cushions, sun screen and some cold beverages to go. I figured it would be a great way to relax and catch some sun rays. I was all layed out on the boat enjoying the day then I thought....."hmmmm I should fish". I sat up and asked where my fishing pole was? They left it in the truck!!!! After wanting me to go fishing so bad they left my pole in the truck!!! Unbelievable! Well, Mike let me use one of his, which was no small feat for me because they use open faced reels and I tangle them up every time!hee hee I managed to handle this one ok though and landed my very first fish! A 5 1/2 pound bass! I was so excited, it was huge. Needless to say the boys weren't too happy that I caught the biggest fish of the weekend! It went to the taxidermist already and it will hang proudly in the shed as a reminder to them that momma doesn't mess around!hee hee

On to graduation! Erica graduated high school this year. She graduated in the top 10% of her class with lots of honors. We are very proud of her. She will be attending The St. Louis College of Pharmacy in the fall

We started baseball practices in January and we are still going.....

Adam joined a new baseball team this year. It was a little hard for him, playing with new kids, playing new positions and sitting out more but overall he had a good time. His Mudcat season has ended. Now he is filling in on the river league team for a hurt kid and playing with his friends for fun and he is really loving it. I am glad he got the chance to do that! I really wasn't ready for baseball to end anyway!

Erica turned 18 this year. I am still finding it hard to believe that I am getting so old! We had a party for her....cake and ice cream up in the shed. After 18 years of planning themes and making cakes for her parties I was really searching for what to do this year. I saw a segment on the Early Show about decorating cupcakes that inspired me. They used tootsie rolls and icing and sprinkles to make broccoli and icing to make lo mein. Since chinese is Erica's all time favorite I decided to go for it! She loved the cake and it was easy and fun to make. I got the chinese words off the internet and on the outside of the cake I put them all around....love, honor, faith, together, smart, funny, health, wealth...all the things I see or hope to see in Erica's future.

This has really been a tough year on Erica.....having to grow up and so many milestones that Grandpa missed. He is working in Iraq right now so he wasn't here for her birthday. He sent her this hat in the mail. He said all the guys wear them over there! She loved it! He also found a way to call right when we were having the party so he could talk to her...and make her cry!!!

PROM!!! Every mother's dream to see her only daughter all dressed in a beautiful gown, looking like a princess! I love it! Of course it had to rain that day though and ruin our plans of taking pictures at the river. Erica's friends wanted to go to the Capital Plaza to take pictures. It is a beautiful local hotel that is real ritzy and has a beautiful fountain. Good idea, but no one knew they were having 3 conventions that weekend so the fountain was turned off and tables were everywhere! Good thing we stopped at the Governor's garden in the rain to take some pictures or I wouldn't have gotten as many good ones! The first two were at our house...our grass hadn't even turned green yet!UGH! Erica went with her friend Michael.

Adam's first turkey!

Turkey season was hard on Adam this year. With Mike's schedule, and working weekends he couldn't take him much. He went with his uncles but didn't have any luck. Well, I had taken off work for prom and planned to sleep late, Mike came home from work in the morning and decided to take Adam hunting in our back yard. Well, he woke me up at 7 in the morning to come outside and see his turkey! He was so excited to get his first turkey. I was very excited for him, but still didn't want to get up that early!hee hee

We had to dig up our whole back yard in order to get the electric and water to the shed and the sewer from the shed to the lagoon. Talk about a mess! I was beginning to think it would never get done at that point because it was so overwhelming. You can't even imagine how many rocks we had to pick up. It is a good thing I have lots of little helpers here! I ended up having to redo all my beds around the house. A friend hauled me the rock for this one. He also gave me the boulder. What a story too....after shoveling the rock for hours to get it all spread out in there, while my husband was riding on the lawn mower, we headed over to get the boulder. I wanted to keep this bed very simple because my other flower bed is huge and takes a lot of work. Well the plan was to load it on the truck near the end then when we got home with it we could just roll it off. Great plan but it didn't quite work that way!hee hee We got home and backed up there and we couldn't budge the rock! I didn't think we were going to get it off the truck. We also had a load of mulch on there so it was kind of hard to get to it. We finally got it rolled one time and it was on the tailgate, so were Mike and I........BAM the tailgate strap busted and threw us off and the rock too! It landed right where it is! I think it is a perfect spot!hee hee

Since this picture the grass has grown in really nice and the pompous grass turned green! It will eventually hide the air conditioner. I got the rhododendron shrub from a couple of the kids I watch for Easter....they are so sweet!

While the digger was here digging up everything I had him dig a hole for my pond! I had this pond in the shed for several years and have been wanting it for a long time. I dreamed up how it would look for years. It finally got finished. I absolutely love it. It is right by the lower patio and when we sit out there in the evening it is so soothing and beautiful. I am so happy I got it finished but it was a lot of work! I drove around our gravel road and dug up all the rocks that are all around it. All the hard work just makes you appreciate it even more!

I have some flower beds in the front that I worked on too but I didn't take pictures! I can never get anything to grow up there. I put some spirea bushes in there and they are still living! I still want some more shrubs up there but I ran out of time before graduation so I will let that go until next spring and finish them up. No one ever goes in our front yard anyway! hee hee

About 7 years ago or so we built a shed. It was a nice shed but we basically built the shell to store our junk from the garage in so we could turn the garage and basement into a day care. We never finished the inside like we wanted to do. Well, after Christmas this year we decided that we were going to get it all finished before Erica graduated high school so we could have a big ole graduation party out there! We really worked our butts off putting up insulation and walls and we made a bathroom and a tiny kitchen area. We sorted and organized everything and now it all has a home. We did all this working around piles and piles of stuff in the middle of the floor. I didn't think we would ever get it all finished but we did it. Just barely in time for graduation. It is so awesome and we spend alot of time out there now playing ping pong, frying fish, we have air hockey and darts and we seem to just sit out there in amazement that it is all finished!

We still have a few things we want to do...gutters, ceiling fans and motion lights outside and we want to put tin on the ceiling or something.....that is a project for next year though!

We will start with the girls weekend.......flip flops, dresses, beads, junk and fun!

We started our weekend early on friday with a bead show in St. Louis. This is our second year to go to this show and it is awesome! It was me, Erica, and my two sisters. We found lots of goodies!

On the way up there we also hit an antique shop....one of my favorites right off highway 70. I found lots of goodies there. We also stoped at one in St. Louis near the airport that is a really really junky place but we all came out with something!

I love my blingy rhinestone bracelet! You can't even imagine how much it sparkles and shines when I wear it....which is all the time now! I love to collect old brooches, I am making a frame lined in velvet to display them on.

We shopped most of the time for a prom dress for Erica. You know it has to be something very special for the SENIOR prom!hee hee Mostly I just got flip flops! I love the yellow box flip flops, they are so comfortable and don't sink down in the heel like my nike ones.

We did find a beautiful prom dress at a little shop called Special Occasions. The owner of the place, Paulette, was a hoot and I never laughed so hard spending so much money in all my life. The dress was just beautiful though and fit Erica perfectly. Pictures of prom will be coming soon!

We stayed in Chesterfield at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was really nice, although we didn't spend much time there. We did get to hit the pool and hot tub one night. The manager let us sneak in after hours to relax or shopper's feet. That was so nice. When we go on trips we always have a great time and laugh and cut up so much. I can't even tell you all the stories that have developed out of this trip but it was a blast! I am already looking forward to next year. It wasn't totally a fun trip....we stayed till Monday and met with the people at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy where Erica will be attending in the fall and took a tour of the campus. It is a great school and I think she will love it there!

Well, those of you that know me, know that I don't work too much from Christmas until usually March or so.....well, this year has just been crazy for me. I have had so many things going this year that I have not painted in a long long time!

I did paint up some things in April and did a display at the Eldon conservation fair. It was alot of fun and I sold some things. If you live in the area I suggest you check it out for next year. Lots of informative seminars and freebies and even dinner that was really awesome. And of course I went by myself (who knew?) so I didn't get a chance to even take any pictures. Next year!

Anyway, in the next few days I will be catching you up on all the happenings so far.....I have many things I want to share. Believe it or not I even have some things to put up for sale and some cool jewelry I have been making! There are just way too many things to put all in one post!

Easter seems to be sneaking up on me this year! I don't really know if time is going faster or if I am going slower! For some reason I seem to really struggle with Easter and spring things. I love to paint fall and Christmas, those come easy to me. But I do love these little Easter eggs! I finished up a few sets (of 3) and took some to the antique shop and I am offering some here too! For the shop I had to come up with a way to package them up for easier selling....so I put them in a little "nest" of brown scrunched paper and put them in a cello bag...the perfect little easter treat! That is also how they will come to you if you purchase them on here.

We had a jewelry making weekend too. I am so addicted to making jewelry! Me, my sisters, my Aunt and Mom got together and did copper etched charms. These are the ones I made! I am working on the chains....making all hand wrapped links for these, then I will be offering them for sale on here. I did take one to the shop so far, but more are coming! The ones on the bottom row and the outside of the middle row are the same as the ones I first practiced on. I really liked those so I made extras. The one in picture with the chain I made for Mom, she doesn't like to "make" she just likes us to make for her! The picture really doesn't do these justice, they are awesome!

This coming weekend we are packing up for St. Louis, heading to a bead show. I can't wait! It is a dual purpose trip...we are also heading to Erica's college, The St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Have a meeting with the financial people and we are also taking a tour. I am excited about that too, it should be alot of fun! I do have my moments of panic when I suddenly realize that my baby is going to college though!!! I just keep pushing it out of my mind for now though. We are splurging for the whole weekend away and plan to enjoy some relaxation at the motel and some shopping....prom is coming you know!

I mentioned before that I was having some issues with my selling site and it wasn't working. Well, they are having problems that they don't know when will be resolved so I had to go to another place. I hope to have it back up and running this weekend and something on there for sale!

I finally finished my room sprays....and do they smell good! I must say I have been making myself a little sick with all the strong scents and mixing them all together!hee hee

I will be offering these in several fragrances......Cranberry Orange, Grandma's Kitchen, Strawberry Kiwi smoothie, Cinnamon Stick, Maple Walnut Fudge, Pumpkin Crunch Cake and Chubba Dubba weight loss! Which is a citrus scent that smells great!

What's happening!

Hello everyone! I have finally started painting a little again. I wanted to let you all know that I am having problems with my selling site. For some reason it doesn't work! If you click on "my offerings" or my products it will not take you to the site. I am trying to get ahold of the customer service, I have been emailing them like crazy, but no one gets back to me. Hopefully they will fix the problem soon or I will be looking for somewhere else to go.

I have some things I need to take to the antique shop this weekend, then I will be, hopefully if my booth gets fixed, putting some things on here and ebay again.

I have also still been working on some Christmas items....I am trying to stock up for this year! I hope to prevent the holiday work overload, if that is even possible!hee hee Plus I am thinking of trying a craft show this fall so I have been doing some things that are not what I normally do! I have been sewing! I will give you some sneak peeks of things as I finish them! It has been pretty fun trying something new.

I am also looking to put some things on here other than just my painting. I am going to start making the scented sprays and refresher oils. I am excited about that! I hope to have that up and running in the next month so be looking out. I am still looking for other things to compliment my stuff but haven't decided on anything else forsure. My goal this year is to keep things going more! I am always open to ideas.....what are you looking for?

The Christmas decorations are back in the closet....

and the house is all clean.....except for my work area! I got so behind on everything I had to do this year. I was working right up to Christmas week, shopping at the last minute and didn't even get to do any baking except for some sugar cookies for my nephew who came home from bootcamp! I was way too stressed out. Every year I swear I am not going to get that busy but it is so hard....I hate to tell anyone no!

Next year(hee hee), I am going to be ahead....my plan is to keep painting things up now so I am stocked up real good, then I can relax and enjoy the holidays! We will see how it goes!

I think I am going to spend some time cleaning and organizing my work space, then of course I have to do the taxes, then get all the paperwork filled out for Erica to go to college. She got accepted into the St. Louis College of Pharmacy for the fall 2010 semester. We are so excited! That is the only place she wanted to go. Then after all that I am going to get back to work!

I need to get to the antique shop and take out any Christmas that is left and put some everyday and spring things in....and some more key earrings! I also made some really neat new necklaces for Christmas presents that I want to put in there too. Some more of my jewelry might show up on here this year. I am really loving making it!

Boy I alreay have a big list of to do's!hee hee If all goes well, I should start selling some things on here and on ebay again in a few weeks.

Well, I sure hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I sure did, but as expected....I ate too much! I am busy today trying to finish my Christmas decorating, cleaning and getting some orders finished. It seems I can never get ahead!

I am offering this neat old box for sale on here today. It is one of my favorites! I just love this design by Terrye French! The crow is giving the snowman a gift....the snowflake! I sprinkled it with German Glitter Glass and it is so cute! It is a nice larger size too about
10 x 7 1/4 x4 1/2. This is the last box like this....I have one more box that I am doing with a design that I like to do at least once each year then I am totally out of boxes! I need to go shopping! hee hee Unfortunetly, I have no time to fit that in right now! So that means I have no idea what will turn up on here next.....hopefully it will be something that you just love!

I got some Goodies finished!!!

I just finished some awesome Christmas goodies that are going to be available to buy here on my blog. My favorite is the little red teapot! When I saw that in the antique store, it was just wanting to come home with me! I wanted to keep it for myself! The snowman is a design by Deb Richey, and is just so cute! I am not much of a flower arranger, but this pot has greenere, iced branches and some sugared candy in it. I didn't glue them in so you could put a tree or anything you want in there!

The little wooden paddles are made from a design by Terrye French. Originally intended for tags, I think these would make awesome tags on a special gift! You could also use them for ornaments or just a decoration!

Merry Winter! I just love how this book turned out. I have had it here on my work table for quite a while but never got to it until now. I was leary about it at first, it is a new design but I am so pleased with how it turned out! It even looks better in person because it is sprinkled with German glitter glass for a sweet frosty look! Everyone needs one of these on their coffee table but this one is one of a kind!

I was on a spurt of energy and have lots more neat things I am working on but got a little sidetracked with Erica this week. She is having some problems with her legs and feet so she has missed a couple days of school and has had to get some tests done. Hopefully everything will be ok, we just have to wait now for results!

Sorry ladies but this little cutie was half finished when it was sold! I am trying to get one more tree finished but you know how it goes! I sent off a whole load of really great stuff to the antique store and totally forgot to take any pictures! I can't believe I did that considering I normally take pictures of EVERYTHING!

Last weekend I went up to my sister's house for a jewelry night. It was alot of fun. I made this bracelet and ONE bead!hee hee That bead took me longer to make than the whole bracelet! I don't know why I ever thought that a bracelet with beaded beads would be something I want to do! I love the way it looks, but that bracelet may not get finished until next Christmas!

The men all went off to deer camp this weekend so I got to spend time with Adam. We had fun but I didn't get much done. I told Mike that he will have to tie me to my painting chair next week so I can work! I did manage to find a few treasures though that I can't wait to paint! Sooooo I will be back in a few days! I have been trying to get some things done up for a local antique shop that I am going to start selling my stuff in on November 1st. I am excited, I haven't really sold anything local for a few years now! I got a couple of these neat old boxes finished and one will probably go on here for sale and the other in the shop. The old lamp is actually only half finished. I am working on a neat battery operated candle to put in the center. I am priming it up right now. .

I have been making jewelry like crazy to go to the antique shop. It is a fun break from painting and I LOVE it! I love using little antique treasures in my jewelry! I have also been trying my hand at metal stamping and I love that too! Once I get the store all stocked up I will go back to listing a few things on here and on ebay. It just seems that there is never enough time to get everything I want to done!

This was an eventful week for me...I had to take Adam to the doctor and then the ER on Monday. Turns out he has an infection that was causing pain and swelling. He missed three days of school and has tons of homework but is feeling alot better now.

I have also been busy making halloween treats and getting things ready for Adam's school party. The little ones are all excited for Halloween. My kids don't trick or treat any more and don't want costumes either. I really miss that, I enjoyed maknig their costumes every year!

I even got to meet a friend of mine this week that I have known for a long time, but only through ebay groups, Susie of Yankee Lane Primitives. She was working in Columbia so my sister and I went up to have dinner with her. We went to Huhot, a Mongolina grill, and one of our favorite places to go. It was great, it seemed like we had known each other forever! The food was great, dinner came with a free salad and margaritas were only two bucks! You can't beat that!

Eeerie Halloween Moon!

Adam and I were on our way home and just had to stop for this moon shot! It was so cool with a mist of a cloud all around it and a bright full moon. There were no clouds out anywhere else in the sky except for by the moon.....the stars were shining bright......it was so beautiful! I think this picture would make a great halloween card...I may have to crop in some little trick or treaters!

Senior night!

Last night was senior night at Erica's ball game. It was also a night for cancer awareness at our school. At all the games, basketball, volleyball, and softball the players wore special shirts for cancer awareness. Erica's team has been affected by this through someone they care about very much. It was a very emotional night. This was their last home game so the seniors gave roses to their parents and there was a little ceremony. It was really nice. No one even cared that we lost the ball game by a ton of runs!hee hee

And boy is it starting to feel like fall here! The leaves are falling and the nights are cold! We had to shut the windows but haven't had to turn on the heat yet! I have a feeling that will be coming soon though.

Today I listed some new fall items on ebay. You can check them out by clicking on the link to the left. The first one is a neat rusty hoe end.....I just love these, so unique and primitive! The second one is a neat old black graniteware pot with a fall scene. Both are perfect for your fall decorating!

These will probably be the last of my fall items...I am anxious to start on some snowmen and some Christmas things. I always run out of time for those and only get to do a few things so I am trying to start earlier this year! I hope you will keep watching! Chris

Fall and fun things to do!

The leaves are falling everywhere here and it is starting to look like fall! The tempature has sure cooled off too. It is making me want to make a pumpkin pie or something. In my house fall and winter sure brings lots of homeade soups, crock pot meals and casseroles! Yummy!

I haven't been painting as much as I would like these last couple weeks but I have been busy. I was working on bottlecap necklace orders and some other things I really need to get finished for local people. I still have alot of those things left to do. At least next week will be the last week for softball. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time. I am happy that I will have nothing to do in the evenings but paint and craft.........but I am also sad that Erica will never be playing softball again. She is a senior, and this is her last year. They just grow up so fast.

I have fallen in love with the junk jewelry that everyone is wearing now. I have been trying my hand making jewelry anyway and I LOVE to collect junk of all kinds so it is only natural that I had to give it a go. I made several necklaces for me to wear with all kinds of neat treasures on them...here is one of my favorites! I am really looking forward to making more of these and possibly offering some for sale. They will make great gifts too! My brother in law just called me and he found a small metal stamping set for a great price so I am excited to try some metal stamping too!

I do have one more fall thing that I am almost finished with.....I can't seem to get motivated to get it done. I am ready to switch over to some snowmen and Christmas things already! So until I get that finished.......HAPPY FALL! Chris

A fall candle box!

Today I am listing this neat old welding box on ebay. I painted it with a fall scene, grubbied up a candle and put that inside with some scented cinnamon sticks and rose hips. I also tucked in some black sticks to add some character! It really is a very nice arrangement but quite a challenge to get a good picture! When the box looks good the sticks don't show and when the sticks show the box doesn't look good! Isn't that how it usually works!hee hee

The plan for the labor day weekend was to spend lots of time relaxing at the river for our last holiday of the summer. Well, Grandma had other plans for us! She was rushed to the hospital early in the morning on Saturday. They think she had some kind of stroke and she passed away early Sunday morning. I am grateful that it was not on Adam's birthday and that she did not suffer or have to spend a long time in the hospital. She was buried in Festus Missouri on

09-09-09. We will miss her so much!

Now I have to get back to work. I have a couple things half finished so I will get busy on them tomorrow. Erica has a ball game tonight....it never ends!hee hee

September 4th was Adam's 11th birthday! He had a friend over, and a surprise visit from my sister who lives in St. Louis. Since there was no school on his birthday we headed to Columbia to his favorite resturant.......HuHot! It is a Mongolian grill where you pick out what you want in a bowl with the sauce and take it to a huge grill and they cook it right in front of you! Of course Adam loves the way the guys get fancy with the spatulas and throw them in the air. For the birthday boy they brought us a little fire pit with all the goodies for smores....Can you tell by the smile on his face that he loved that?hee hee That evening we had the families over for cake and ice cream!

We are all BIG St. Louis Cardinals fans, it is very rare for us to miss a game. We watch the games on tv or at least listen on the radio. St. Louis is a couple hours away from us and we usually like to try to get to a game or two in the summer. This summer I was able to score us great seats for 4.00 each in a special promotion so we grabbed the kids out of school a bit early and headed to St. louis!

Today I will be listing my witch boot on ebay! I was so excited to get this done. I wish I could get better pictures of it because it seems to have a little glare that I can not get rid of ......I am planning on putting a gazillion pictures on ebay so you can see it from every angle!

My little halloween bottles turned out so cute.....I robbed my lilac bush of some twigs and painted them black to put in them. Of course my husband thinks I am off my rocker for doing that.hee hee I will be putting those on my selling page right here on my blog as soon as I get a chance!

I also have listed on ebay the neat vintage spoon rack. I just love that, it hangs up and is so unique. And the snowman suitcase......well, anyone who knows me knows I LOVE painting snowmen! I wanted to try to start a little early alternating in some winter and Christmas and fall items because it always seems I run out of time before I get everything finished that I want to. In other words, you just never know what might show up on here!

I have been planning to showcase my return to painting on my blog this coming Monday. I have been painting like crazy and getting some really neat things ready. I am excited, I am going to list on ebay, put some new things on my blog and start my very first give away! I have been trying to spruce up my blog and fix a few things that have been bugging me. Probably things that no one but me ever noticed......like my header being off centered!hee hee I added some neat new gadgets, a live feed, a new blog list and the follower list. For me it is like playing with a new toy that you have no idea how to use! I think I got it all fixed how I want it for now at least. Now I need to get back to painting!

I have to show you some other talent in my family. Erica took Art III last year while she was a junior. She did some awesome work. One drawing she had framed for my Mom and Dad, one she had published in a calendar, a couple I have hanging up here and this one I just love! It is done in the style of Leonardo Da Vinci. She tea stained it, crinkled it all up and wrote on it with a quill and old ink. I keep teasing her that I am going to sell it on ebay and make some big bucks but the truth is that I could never part with it!

Mike and Adam have been doing some fishing this week for a change. With all the stuff going on around here they haven't really been able to go much this summer. They had good luck this week and were able to stock up the freezer a bit so when we are wishing for fish this winter we have some! This is an 18 1/2 pounder, and I am sure he is going to be tasty!!!

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I have updated my blog! It might take me all night to catch up, it has been a busy busy summer!

My disappearance all started with a trip to St. Louis with my sister for a bead show. She was interested in making some jewelry, and hey, I am game! We headed to the bead show on Friday at the Hyatt, where coincidentally George Cloony was filming a movie! How exciting! We really didn't see him but don't tell, everyone else thinks we had lunch with him!hee hee

I was so fascinated at the bead show, I had never been to one before and it was like being in a candy store! I came out of there with a huge stash of beads and lots of ideas. I have one sister that lives in the St. Louis Area and she had just had her 30th birthday so we stayed the night at her house and had cake and margaritas! It was great fun.

Right after that Adam was in a basketball tournament with some of his friends. Mike coached the team and it was a lot of fun.

The end of April was Erica's confirmation.

She is growing up so fast... I am starting to panic a little about it all!

Of course May brought baseball season and softball. Lots of games and lots of running around but also lots of fun! Adam was the pitcher this year and he did really good. Erica plays 3rd base and summer ball for her is with the high school team and is just for fun and practice!

And of course there was prom! Erica bought a vintage designer dress off of ebay.....it was just stunning. It was from 1950 and still had the tags on it! She had her hair done at the salon and I did her makeup for her. It just made me cry to look at her, she was just so beautiful. This picture is of her and my handsome nephew Aaron!

This is the whole group of friends that went together and Erica with her friend Daniel.

Erica had her 17th birthday! She also had a stalker follow her home trying to get her to pull over! It was very scary. Especially with her driving that old truck that is sometimes not very reliable! Sooooo, Mom had to put the ultimatum to Dad....either get the truck running right or I was getting her a new car. Well, the new car won out! She got a 2004 SS Monte Carlo. It was owned by an older couple, loaded to the max and well taken care of....it looks like it was just driven off the show room floor. We got a good deal on it, she loves it and she is paying for it herself so it is all good. Now if we could just get her to sell the truck!

Adam competed in the Russellville Track Meet with his classmates! He got a 5th place ribbon! I got a new camera so I have been taking lots of practice pictures and trying to learn how to use my photoshop program! Adam thinks this picture is really COOL!

Then it was on to graduation! My oldest nephew graduated and turned 18 this year! It is just hard to believe that he is all grown up now! His parents had a great party for him and I made and decorated the cake! He had to leave early from the party because he qualified for state in high school golf. He had a great season and even broke and tied a couple of our school records! He is planning on following in his fathers footsteps and joining the National Guard in the fall.

The end of May brought a relaxing Memorial weekend at the river. The kids got to go tubing and fishing and I got to relax for the whole weekend. It was great!

June was cram packed with ball games, birthdays, get together's for father's day, more birthdays, lots of swimming and great new neighbors! I also had an attack of my inner ear. I woke up on June 12th in the middle of the night with the room spinning, I just couldn't get my bearings, I couldn't tell where I was! I was so dizzy it was making me sick to my stomach. I couldn't even get out of bed! A couple days later I ended up in the urgent care center. Of course they were not able to do anything for me but give me some medicine that makes me too sleepy. It is better, but I am still battling dizziness when I lay on my right side, look up, look down or try to move too fast. It is just horrible and I pray every day that it will go away soon!

July we celebrated the 4th at home for the first time in a long time! I watched one of my little ones, Mike put some chicken on the grill and we swam in the pool all day! It was nice for a change. July also brought more birthday's, we hosted Mike's Dad's 66th birthday and my nephew Ethan turned 3! We took him to the pool where Erica is a lifeguard on his birthday and to his favorite place Pizza Hut!

I also spent some time making jewelry for the kids. I love to make the bottle cap necklaces and I think just about every kid I know has several! I did them for Adam, all his friends and the ball team. I even made one for me to wear to Erica's games! I did sell a couple and I bought 1000 more bottle caps, I am sharing them with my sister so I guess I will be making a bunch more!

Now we are relaxing! I have been cleaning out my work area, it looks so nice. I am ready to start up some painting again. I have some great things ready to go so it is just a matter of getting back to it!

I also wanted to mention a dear friend of mine, Jody of star*spangled*pretties. You may know, in December my husband lost his job of 23 years. We are doing ok, I am sure there are many others in far worse shape than we are, but it has been difficult. He did recently take a job at a local pet food factory but he works nights and it is low pay and he really doesn't like it at all. But it is at least a job until something else comes along. Well, anyway, being the sweetie that she is, Jody sent me a care package to cheer me up. It happened to come right at the time when I was fighting the vertigo and was such a blessing! It just amazes me that I can have so many friends that I have never even met and I sure cherish them all! In the package was one of her awesome dolls, a prim candle, some prim fixins and a prim kit with all kinds of goodies in it. It was just the sweetest thing for her to do and I appreciate it so much! Here is a picture of the doll! I am so lucky to have one of her creations!

Wow, writing about the last few months seems like writing a book.....and I am sure there are many things I left out! Hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things and get some painting done. I may be selling some bottle cap necklaces on here too!hee hee Not to forget that somehow I am going in the cookie business this week too! I had a gal call me and order some of my sugar cookies for her son's ball team party. Just another venture I guess! I will let you know how that turns out!

Sweet little Easter bucket for sale!

Well, the Christmas is put away, the taxes are finished, the house is all clean and I finally got some work done. I am really itching to do some more so keep an eye out. This time I did two different things with the same design. It is a brand new design from Terrye French. It's basketball season again!

Adam has started his Upward Basketball program again so it is games every Saturday! They are pretty fun and of course he loves it. One of his best friends is on his team and they have been taking turns going to each other's house every Thursday so we can take turns driving to practice. It works out pretty good and is just added fun for the boys! So far their record is 1-1!

Thankfully Erica decided not to play basketball this year. After the broken leg last year it was a bit of a relief for me! She is already in FFA, Art club, Science club and plays Softball......that is plenty!!! At least she can drive now so it eases our busy schedule up a lot!

I have a couple springy projects that I am working on in my head still. I haven't had a chance to paint anything yet. Right now I have been concentrating on looking for jobs for my husband. He lost his job December 26th after 23 years. It is a big adjustment for us! He is going for an interview today and pretty much everyone we know is praying about it so I guess that is all we can do! It is quite stressful. Hopefully something will come along real soon for him.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I know I did! I wanted to share some of it with you. Our tree was a little bare of ornaments this year because I worked all the way up to the day before Christmas eve and gave up on the excessive holiday decorating that I normally do. We liked it just as well with only a few ornaments. This year I added a new topper....the big peppermints and the candy sticks. I fell in love with them at Ben Franklin in Moberly when I went shopping with my mom and couldn't leave without them!

We started having our Christmas on the 23rd, because we have Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve and Mike's family on Christmas day. It gives us more time to spend with the kids and gives them a chance to play with their toys. It works out great now that they are older but I do miss the days of playing Santa and sleeping by the tree on Christmas eve.

Erica got a letter jacket this year, along with too many other things...she was very excited!

When Adam figured out that he got a bow he couldn't hold back the excitement. It was so funny!

One of the things that I was working on before Christmas was a cabinet for my uncle to give my aunt for Christmas. I was real pleased with the way it turned out and she loved it!

So now we move on to 2009 which will definitely be a challenging new adventure for us. Mike was laid off of his job after working there for 23 years on December 26th. I don't really know what the future holds for us but I do have faith that things are going to be ok.

I am already itching to pick up my paint brushes and I really need to start putting more things in my Prim Market booth this year so I am making that my resolution.....along with cleaning out all my closets and ridding our house of every thing we no longer use! I started today with my bathroom medicine cabinet and the storage cabinet and it did feel good!

Today is cold and icy here! I think I could have really slept late today if I didn't have to work! The kids are home from school and we are supposed to have two more days of bad weather. Last week I listed a neat vintage ice bucket on ebay. I am working hard to get the last of my special orders finished now......I can almost see the end!hee hee I am hoping to be finished in a day or two so I can bake some Christmas cookies and finish my shopping!

Here is a picture of my ice bucket.....I am not sure if I will be listing anything else on ebay this year, I just don't think I will have time. I am thinking about doing some more Christmas stuff right after Christmas. I don't know how that will go over but I have some new designs I am dying to do but I just ran out of time.

Wow, I don't know where the month of November went! I have been crazy busy around here with all the holiday happenings! Of course we had deer season....which is my time to get the Christmas decorations out. Then Thanksgiving, which was awesome. Nothing is better than a Thanksgiving feast! I guess it is a good thing we don't do that more than once a year!

I know the month of December is going to fly by too. I am working on tons of special orders I have right now. I am going to be in my working chair a lot in the next couple weeks!

I listed a new item on ebay tonight.....it turned out so cute. It is an old gas can. Of course Erica wanted to keep it!hee hee

This is one of my special items that I have been working on for what seems like forever! It is a custom design of their home. It turned out really nice but my picture isn't very good, there is a little bit of a glare.

Halloween happenings and Adam's first deer!

Halloween was quite busy around here! Of course Adam didn't want to dress up this year....he thinks he is too big. I tell him, heck, I am not too big, I love to dress up!hee hee. We had a party at our church, school party, a party for the kids I watch, and Erica had friends over for scary movies! Wow, I am worn out now from all the cooking, cleaning and running around! Here are some pictures of Adam at our church party being his normal silly self!

The day after halloween was the youth hunt here in Missouri so Mike took Adam for his first time. He was very lucky to have gotten what he thought was a doe but turned out to be a button buck! He was so excited.....he spent the rest of the day calling everyone he knows to tell them. I was listening to some of his conversations....it was so funny, I heard him say "yes, I was shaking like a wet dog!". I just laughed, he comes up with the funniest things.

He didn't want the deer to be the only one with its tongue out so he had to join in and keep his tongue out for the picture too!

Well, my little burst of painting energy was short lived as I had to get some things finished up around the house this last week. Adam's cabin bed went out since he has grown like a bad weed over the last year and we got him a "real" bed. He is so excited as we are trying to move him out of the living room and back into his room. You just can't imagine how much stuff one little boy has! We finally got the pool closed, which is way over due(and a huge chore that no one likes) and we had another family picture taken this weekend as a gift for my husbands parents! The whole clothes and shopping issue is enough to wear anyone out!hee hee

I was able to list one item on ebay. I ran across these battery opperated candles that I couldn't resist. I have some in different sizes and can't wait to do some more! This one I have on ebay right now and I have the matching one to it almost finished! I am hoping to get it finished tonight, I will be doing some painting anyway......I have an order that I have to get finished! I am such the procrastinator. How do I make myself quit doing that????

At least this is our last week of softball so I won't be running around almost every night! I love softball season but it does get a little hectic! I am wishful thinking that I will be able to paint more!

Weekend fun!

We had a great weekend! For Adam's birthday and we surprised him with St. Louis Cardinals ball tickets. We went to Saturday evening's game. It was so much fun! The Cardinals won 5-3 and we got to see Albert Pujols hit a 2 run home run in person! It doesn't get any better than that!

Sunday was his birthday party at the house with the family. He got lots of cash so now he thinks he is rich! It was a fun day too!

Wow! Summer just seemed to go by so fast this year....I don't know where time went! Now we are back to Erica's ball games and school functions!

Adam had his 10th birthday yesterday. He chose a mexican resturant for his birthday dinner. He likes it when they sing to him and put the sombrero on and smear ice cream in his face!

We were cracking up trying to get a picture of Adam and Erica together because the hat kept getting in the way! We finally managed!

We are having Adam's birthday party this coming Sunday and as a special treat we are all going Saturday to the St. Louis Cardinals ball game! We all all excited about that, what fun!

As far as my painting......I do have something about half finished! It is a halloween item so I better get busy! I am beginning to wonder though, after saying I will have time to paint next week, about a million times, if I will ever have more time! Don't give up on me yet! And in the mean time I will share pictures of my kids with you!

Summer is flying by!

This last weekend was Adam's last ball games. Summer is going by so fast....I just don't know where it has gone! We had the championship tournament. They started out strong winning the first two games Saturday in the horrible, miserable heat. Sunday the streak ended and they lost the championship game for second place. The kids were sad but I think second place is AWESOME!

They ended the season with 13 wins, 5 losses, second place in the league and second place in the tournament. Way to go Bee's!

Although I haven't been listing anything on ebay I have been doing some work to keep me practiced up!hee hee

I did this ironing board for a friend. It was her husband's mothers ironing board and she wanted to do something special with it so I made it into a family tree. It turned out pretty awesome and she loved it!

The tree has the eight children on the outer leaf of each branch with their children on the other leaves. The house and the barn were created using pictures of the original farm. They have the perfect family to do this with because it kept the tree in proportion!

Lightening Disaster!

Hello! I wanted to post an update on what is going on with me! Last Wednesday lightening struck my computer and fried it! Along with all my telephones and one outlet! It was very scary! I was turning it off when it happened and it did get my finger and made my eyes blurry and my ears ring all night. I am so lucky that it didn't really get me!

I am hooked up now to Erica's computer but all my pictures and links that were on my old computer are gone! I still do not have my email where I can get to it yet so the only way to contact me right now is through ebay's message center. It will probably take me a while to get everything back to normal! Hopefully in time for some new fall items!

What am I up to???

Well, I thought I would post tonight since it has been a while! I am still not getting much creating accomplished. Of course all the busy summer things are taking up all my time. I did manage to do some lap desks and I almost have the vintage ironing board finished that I have had to do for a very long time now! I can't wait to show you that because it is really going to be awesome. The lady I am doing it for has a perfect family tree for my design! I am working on some ornaments for an exchange in one of my groups.....that is fun. Other than that it has been ball games and family get togethers......who can complain?hee hee!

I haven't even been able to get any projects finished around the house! But, I did find a little time to make a neat flower arrangement for my yard! I used and old wagon that my dad(biological....not to be confused with my awesome other dad!) had given Erica when she was little. It was broken and I saved it all this time hoping to do something with it. It was sort of a father's day tribute since he passed away in 1996! Erica loved it and of course the first thing she said was, "that is MINE!". I guess I will give it to her when she gets her own house!hee hee

Hopefully something exciting will happen soon so I can post some neat pictures or maybe I will get a creative spurt! I should be finishing the ironing board soon at least, so I can add something fresh here! Happy summer everyone!

Memorial weekend fun!

Well for the Memorial Day weekend, in between rain showers, we found time for some fun! Erica and Cody went tubing! The water was only 60 degrees and they spent a lot of time in it! Of course, it is the goal of the driver, who was grandpa, to make you fall off. He was successful!

Adam and Ian made their own fishing pole to try and catch some dinner! It is a good thing that we weren't counting on their catch or we would have gone hungry! It is always fun trying though!

Ethan had a ball in the mud puddle with his pan and bottle.....he splashed it all out and even poured it on his head. Any one that came near him got it too! His shirt said it all.....Mr Messy!

The Burlington Bees take their first win!

The Burlington Bee's won their first game last night 2-1! It was an exciting game that went into extra innings! Adam made his pitching debut and did a great job. I joked with him that he was my little closer! In the last two innings he struck out several batters and only walked one. I didn't want to take too many pictures....especially of him pitching, because I didn't want to make him nervous! He was pretty excited though!

Well, the party was a success and it is back to life as usual! I have a couple days of cleaning up my work area and getting things back in order then I can start painting again! I have to live with the fact that my teenager is now running around on the roads now...she passed her driver test! I think if I could get myself to paint when I am worried I could get a lot of work done!hee hee!

I tried my hand at some altered art! It was really fun! I loved decorating the paint can and I filled it up with gift cards and stuff for her truck. I think it turned out really cute. I think I will be doing more of those!

It was a rainy day....which is usually a party disaster......but in this case it was a blessing because grandpa got to come home for the party! He is working out of town and doesn't get to come home very often. He surprised her with some roses. She was very happy to see him!

Recently it seems to be all about Erica! Today is her 16th birthday! I am busy planning and making things for her party coming this weekend. Tonight we will go out for her birthday dinner, Chinese, her favorite.

In between running Erica back and forth from her lifeguard training last weekend I did get to squeeze in a few garage sales! My first ones of the year. I found some great things to add to my painting stash and a few things for my own collections! It was a lot of fun. Erica passed her lifeguard class so she is good to go with her summer job!

Friday I will take Erica for her drivers test, hopefully she will pass so she can drive herself around! I am sure I will be a nervous wreck about it when the time comes....it is bittersweet!

Too busy to create!

Last week I was busy with my daughter's first prom! It was exciting and devastating all at the same time. I am sure all you moms with teenagers know how I was feeling! She went with a group of friends and they all had a great time.

This week I am using my creativity preparing for the big sweet 16 birthday party coming up. I am very excited, I want it to be a very special day for her. It is just so hard to believe that my baby is growing up so fast. She got a job as a lifeguard this summer, a truck and is starting to campaign for class president. That is alot for me to take in but I am sure I will survive. I am very proud of her.

Once all of this excitement is over I will get back to work. I am really looking forward to creating some neat summer things and some patriotic items. I already have some ideas rolling around in my head! If there were only more days in the weeks or hours in the days!

Well, it is hard to believe that I finally got some work finished and listed on ebay!!! I am still trying to get a group of things together to revamp my booth. It just seems like I am busy busy busy all the time!

Both of my ebay groups started a spring launch on April 1st, what an April fools joke!hee hee! I did a couple garden items, they turned out really cute but you have to click on my ebay link to see them!
