Last weeks happenings!

Well, we had a great Easter, a little colder than I like but I am not going to complain, it could be worse! We usually take a family picture outside at Easter but it was too cold and everything is still too brown. We will have to wait a while. My son Adam helped my little nephew Ethan find a few easter eggs outside. We were telling them to hurry up because the wind was blowing and there were snow flurries! It really didn't seem to bother the kids any!

I made some fun tub baskets for two of my little nephews! I love to do these with pigment pens......I do them for all the little kids I know!

I haven't been able to get any new items listed on ebay yet or change around my booth at the Prim Market yet but I am working on some new things. I hope to get them finshed by the end of the month.

I am trying to get caught up on some orders.....I just finished this neat old bowl, I think it turned out great, considering I usually don't do flowers! I am going to have to find another one now!

My work

I did get a little work finished last week. I worked on some chairs for a local order. They turned out real cute! Now I am getting busy this week to get some new things on my Prim Market site and on ebay so keep a close watch!

Weekend happenings!

We had an exciting weekend. Adam drove us to the river to visit my parents! Don't worry, only from the private road. He was in heaven!

We also got exciting news about my nephew, Cody! He was in St. Louis for the Junior Science Engineering & humanities Symposium this weekend. He won the first place award for meritorious achievement in conducting and presenting original research for his presentation on the efficiency of producing various biofuels from plant oils. For getting chosen to go to St. Louis he won a 4 year scholarship to the University of Missouri St. Louis and for winning in St. Louis he won a $16,000.00 scholarship to his choice of the University of Missouri Kansas City or the University of Missouri Rolla! He is only a freshman, and was the only one up against juniors and seniors, so I am sure he will have a great future ahead of him! We are all so very proud of him. He also gets to go to Orlando Florida at the end of the month!

Way to go Cody! Keep up the good work!

And don't worry, we all know you are not a geek!hee hee

Shopping Day!

This weekend I finally got to get out and do some junkin! I went with my sisters and my daughter and my little nephew Ethan. He was an angel and a little trooper, for 18 months old he is a very good shopper. We went to Lebanon Missouri where some of my favorite shops are. I must say that I was a little disappointed with the antique shops, I only came out of my favorite one with one thing to paint and usually I find tons of stuff there. I did find a pretty good stash of things though. I hope it is enough to get me inspired to get some work done. Here is a picture of what I brought home. Now I am going to get busy painting!
